A solution for DTV second screen application based on iOS platform

2014 Set-top box performance improvement, and more frequent presence of DTV set-top boxes in home, is the main reason of frequent usage of handheld devices such as tablets and smartphones as the second screen devices in television. This paper shows system architecture and framework of the second screen features. The paper focuses on implementation of live TV as well as other digital television services. System is based on a smart set-top box with capabilities for serving up to 8 clients simultaneously with different TV content. Each client can watch desired TV content independently from TV screen. This paper presents complete solution for displaying TV content and system control in real time.

Realisation of client application for controlling smart TV set on iOS platform

2014 This paper presents solution graphical user interface desing for portable devices based on iOS platform that displays reproduction of the TV contend delivered from DTV device. The paper describes design and implementation of the components created and used in graphical user interface.
