Phuong Phillips, our Chief Legal Officer, explained her choice to join the Zynga team using these three criteria:
Her answer to each - especially the last question, was a resounding YES!
At Zynga, we use the opportunity with each hire to create our culture - beyond “fit”, we ask what each potential Zyngyite can add to our team and what uniqueness they bring to broaden our perspective and skill set.
Our goal is that each team member has the support, resources and opportunity to do the best work of their career! This means we actively cultivate a culture of diversity, creativity and growth all leading to delivering our core mission: Connecting the World Through Games.
Zynga offers competitive pay, industry leading perks and benefits and as importantly an environment committed to success for all.
Building on these core ingredients for people and company success, Zynga is also committed to providing development and learning. We believebroadening the representation of our team and growth opportunities for all promotes more creative ideas that our players will thank us for.
In short, everyone. We are cultivating a culture that measures our success by the ability for everyone with capability, passion and drive to find opportunity. Zynga has several employee resource groups from all backgrounds in the workplace like zPride, zParents and Women at Zynga (WAZ).
zPride was founded to nurture a great workplace for all by providing an inclusive and professional environment for LGBTQ+ employees. Our focus is to actively help employees succeed in their respective fields by providing educational tools, skill sets, and insights that help them become leaders. Our intentions are to educate our peers on the challenges each aspect of the community faces, to foster a more inclusive sense of community, and to build lasting relationships between Zyngites and their respective surrounding network.
The zParents group is comprised of Zynga’s working parents. Its vision is to provide an environment where parents, and their families, can meet, support and celebrate each other. zParents hosts opportunities to connect with other parents via onsite, and offsite, events. Monthly events have included movie nights, trips to sporting events, culinary classes, holiday parties, and adults-only mixers. It also teams up with the other ZERGs for family-friendly sporting activities and volunteer opportunities.
Led by our Chief Legal Officer, WAZ was formed to foster an environment that empowers women to succeed and become leaders in their careers and communities. WAZ develops and sponsors enrichment programs around education and training, career development and community building. The group promotes Zynga’s long held value of being an organization that values diversity and equality and one that supports a culture of inclusion and respect. WAZ is taking action both within Zynga and more broadly to be at the forefront of female advocacy and enablement in Technology.
