Director - Developer Relations/Developer Strategy

At the heart of this, we are building a conversation platform that automates the most challenging journeys and connects our traveler, agent, and supplier marketplace. Our Virtual Agents use AI to learn new capabilities and continuously improve through network effects.

We are looking for a Director of Developer Strategy to connect with developers and business partners on cutting-edge technologies. This leader will be at the forefront of Expedia’s platform, engaging both technical and non-technical audiences to adopt our tools and services. You will advocate for both third-party developer interests and needs internally at Expedia. You will write technical documentation, author demos, and work with strategic Expedia partners. What you’ll do

• Engage with developers and partners to onboard and get the most of our platform
• Represent Expedia Group and share our platform capabilities and roadmap
• Create demos and write sample code to showcase what you can build with our APIs and tools
• Bring feedback to the product & tech teams to improve features and help guide the roadmap
• Create developer communities, teach and inspire them to apply Expedia Group’s platform more effectively. Help people talk about their own success with the platform

Who you are: 

• Eager to be part of a diverse team with big goals, and you have an unremittingly positive attitude
• Creator of top-quality demos, code samples and mini-applications to demonstrate the technologies you want to teach
• Confident speaker and collaborator when interfacing with external developers and business partners
• Solutions architect; able to imagine how a product should be built, and able to persuade other stakeholders of your approach
• A great writer, and can create on-point technical blog posts
• Prior management of five or more employees
