Requirements
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a candidate with solid experience in testing a web-based product, across multiple browsers and mobile applications. Ideally, you have some experience programming or using advanced testing tools. You have an eye for detail and are able to communicate clearly and concisely, creating minimal reproduction cases for Engineers. For this role, we are looking for someone who is willing to take the time to learn our product and to ask questions about how things are expected to work and conduct reliable testing while documenting issues raised as they go on.
We expect that the successful candidate will have successful experience in the following areas:
Asynchronous is the default form of communication at Float, and we have very few meetings, so you’ll have long stretches of time to focus on deep work. Everyone at Float leads by example and sets the bar for quality.
What You’ll Do
You will be working in partnership with our Engineers to ensure that the product we ship to our customers is of the highest standard. You will achieve this by performing cross-browser, mobile, and API testing. As part of this testing, you will follow our manual testing guidelines for regression testing as well as perform automated and more free-form exploratory testing, looking for unexpected behavior and overlooked edge cases.
Acting as the eyes and voice of the customer, you will prioritize issues found, helping the Engineering team to focus their efforts on the most impactful issues. Over time, there will be the opportunity to maintain and extend our automated test suite, to provide an extra level of confidence in the quality of our product.
