Software Engineer

About the Role

The Software Engineer works independently and collaboratively to execute department activities. In this role, you will be responsible for providing assistance to the Business Analysts, fixing bugs reporting by QA or testing efforts, fixing production issues, and participate in security reviews. As the Software Engineer, your work will help support the continued growth of our fast-paced company. A-LIGN will depend on you as the Software Engineer to support management, maintain accountability, and other responsibilities.

Reports to: VP of Engineering

Responsibilities

Provides assistance in analysis on an ad-hoc basis working with a business analyst.

Provides input into the design process based on relevant technical knowledge.

Writes code in at least 1 language with relative efficiency and accuracy commensurate with time spent in the industry.

Preferred experience writing code in Go (API) or TypeScript/Angular (UX)

Fixes bugs as reported by QA or testing efforts.

Preferred experience working in Jira and TestRails

Fixes production issues as reported by support teams.

May take a leadership role on small projects or efforts to develop the skill set.

Debugs basic configuration issues and build pipeline issues in a local environment.

Participates in security reviews, and security testing exercises.
