Engineering Director, Operations

As an engineering director of the infrastructure team at Plex, you will lead several distributed teams responsible for our cloud infrastructure, build systems, and core account services. You will also lead a cross-functional team responsible for growth engineering and experimentation, and will collaborate with other teams across the organization.

• You have prior engineering experience, preferably in DevOps and/or cloud services.
• You have multiple years of recent experience in engineering management.
• You enjoy solving problems through organizational thinking and building teams.
• You empower the individuals on your teams by practicing servant leadership.
• You’re kind, helpful, smart, and get stuff done.
• You’re self motivated and able to work well in a distributed team across the globe.
• You believe in asking for help and helping others when they ask, never throwing a problem over the wall.
• You thrive in a fast paced environment, with an ability to be nimble and shift priorities as called for in a dynamic space.
• You are hungry to have an impact, continuously working to improve our product, process and push the team to be it’s best.

In addition, it would be great if:

• You’ve worked with large and scalable kubernetes deployments
• You have experience with data analysis and experimentation
• You love movies and TV and have used Plex
