PagerDuty is growing and we are looking for an experienced BI/Data Engineer for our Technical Operations team to manage and contribute to the software and services that we provide to our users. As a BI/Data Engineer at PagerDuty, you will help lead the team responsible for designing, building, deploying, and supporting Analytical solutions for various Business teams(Product,Customer Success,Growth,Finance) across PagerDuty's growing global user base.

Together with the other members of the BI/Data Platform team, you will have the opportunity to re-define how PagerDuty, designs, analyze, integrates, and maintains a growing set of analytic solutions. In this role, you will be working cross-functionally with business domain experts, Analysts, and data engineering team.

• Design and build data models within reporting tools like Looker to provide efficient reporting and analytics capability
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable solutions meeting data design standards and governance
• Build dashboards using Self-Service tools like Looker and perform data analysis to support business
• Build reports using SQL to support companies self-serve data analysts
• You will interact with many other group’s internal team to lead and deliver outstanding products in an exciting fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with multiple multi-functional teams and work on solutions which has larger impact for the Business
• Ability to research, plan, organize, and implement new processes or solutions

Minium qualifications:

• At least 4+ experience as a BI Engineer or related
• Passion and Experience analyzing structured/un-structured data and building meaningful and insightful reports and dashboards
• Experience working with off-the-shelf data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Sisense (Periscope), or other
• Strong SQL skills to build reports on top of multiple data sources Working knowledge building data pipelines, to connect and capture transactional and user-behavior data from disparate systems.
• Experience with tools and concepts related to data and analytics, such as dimensional modeling, reporting tools, data governance, data warehousing, structured and unstructured data
• You will demonstrate excellent understanding of development processes and agile methodologies

Preferred qualifications:

• Advanced experience working with technologies such as SQL for data analysis and manipulation techniques, Ad-hoc queries and ETL
• Should be proficient in writing Advanced SQLs and performance tuning of SQLs
• We would like for you to have In-depth understanding of multiple data structures
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
