Software Engineer (open to remote)

What you’ll do:

In this engineering role, you will develop a consistent set of tools, utilities, templates, and integrations that enable developers to quickly and easily embed New Relic into DevOps workflows, employ “configuration as code” techniques, and establish a point of view through implemented best practices.

Your Qualifications

• 4+ years experience creating developer-focused products, such as SDKs, CLIs, APIs, tools, or platforms
• Use a variety of languages - Ruby, Python, C#, Java, Node, or Go some weeks
• Collaborative working style that includes colleagues in significant decisions and leads to shared code ownership
• Knowledge of continuous integration/test/deployment tools and methodology
• Ability to work with heterogeneous systems and seek new environments you may not have encountered before
• Keep up to date with technologies - AWS, Azure, GCP, serverless, Docker, Kubernetes among others
• Follow good coding and testing practices
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

• Experience working with or building GraphQL schemas
• Experience in working with open source projects
• React (or similar UI framework) experience
• Configuration management and orchestration tools like Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet
• Our Office or your office

You will be working with engineers and leaders distributed throughout the world, concentrated around our major offices in Portland, San Francisco, Phoenix, Barcelona, and Tel Aviv. You are welcome to work in one of those offices, or work from your home office.
